Introducing inspiring director Sam Edwards! 🎥 Sam studies film and TV at the college and was one of our students who recently experienced an incredible two weeks in Chiang Mai, Thailand with @thinkpacific . Towards the end of the trip, we caught up with Sam to find out more about motivations for going to Thailand and what he's taking away from the experience. Check out the video below to hear from Sam, and if you're interested in any of our media, journalism and photography courses, head over to our website using the link below to find out more: https://buff.ly/RZGQhqt

Join us as we spend a morning with our animal care students! We spent time with our dog grooming learners as they carried out full grooms on a variety of breeds from bathing and prep work to nail clipping and health checking. We then followed our T level animal care students as they ran their very own a stall to raise money for Support Dogs, a local charity training autism assistance dogs, epilepsy seizure alert dogs and disability assistance dogs. See yourself working with animals? The opportunities are endless in this sector! Find out more about our qualifications by clicking on the link in our bio.

Yesterday our horticulture students ran their very own plant sale! 🌿🌼 Students sold a variety of flowers, succulents, pots and shrubs, that they’ve been working hard to grow and nurture over the past few months. This is just one example of how students develop their skills with us for their future careers. Considering a career working in the great outdoors? Click on the link in our bio to find out more about our land-based qualifications and apply to study with us this September.

Sheffield College music students recently came to Mary St Live to have their performance and engineering skills assessed. We were able to give them the space for free thanks to previous support from @sarah_nulty_power_of_music_ and Tesco Abbeydale rd community fund. Mary St Live exists to help the youth music and arts community right across our city. Watch this space for our Tramlines Fringe Saturday (25th July) youth line up and much more besides…

It’s the final Chiang Mai vlog and what a trip it’s been for our business, creative arts and travel and tourism students. Over the last two weeks they’ve dived headfirst into Thai culture, soaked in everything that Chiang Mai has to offer, and developed their understanding of sustainable and social businesses. To wrap things up, the team have spent the morning at the Coconut Market, grabbing some last minute souvenirs before then saying goodbye to their local guides and the @thinkpacific team at the reflection session and farewell dinner. We hope you’ve enjoyed following their Thailand journey. Be sure to follow our channels for more updates.
