“I’ve always struggled with keeping up with my career, especially as someone transitioning into UI/UX and AI & ML engineering…”
In Q1 2026, we set out to bring The She Code Africa Laptop Scholarship to women across Abuja, Bayelsa, Osun, and Enugu States, and Ambrose was one of those lucky women.
She is currently transitioning into UI/UX and AI & ML engineering, and navigating it hasn’t been very straightforward.
Now, things can feel a little more steady as she continues. 💓

With JAMB ahead, Fatima had a dilemma.
At 17, she had never touched a computer before.
It felt intimidating. Like something she wasn’t meant to understand.
But everything feels impossible, until it isn’t.
Now Fatima can do more than ace her upcoming exams. Her story is proof that everything we want is almost always on the other side of fear.

Huda Asante, a front-end developer from Ghana joined Cycle 3 of the She Code Africa mentorship program, where she was matched with the right mentor.
By the end of the program, she had built a responsive weather app that allows users to check weather conditions in cities around the world.
We know that when we check back with Huda Asante months and years from now, we’ll see more impact from the foundation she started building through mentorship. 💓
