Every Friday back in ‘05, we used to ride around the streets of St. Louis dropping off paperwork for her mom’s business bumping this Bobby V. album. Then it would be date night!
We’d usually hit up TGI Fridays and a movie. I would usually get salmon and some sides. And I thought she’s was hella weird for ordering a sandwich as an entree lol. When I finally asked her about it, she said she really didn’t care about the sandwich, she was just trying to get to those fries ;).
Here we are, over 20 years later, walking down the street Bobby V. mentioned in that song. And we made a whole person along the way! Probably after one of those date nights 😉.
One of the greatest things I’ve learned along the way is that my son will model the way that I treat her. It’s a huge responsibility. It’s required me to work on myself, support her in the work she wants to do for herself, and work on growing our love and life together.
Some of my proudest moments are seeing the ways that he loves her... and to see the ripple effect of our love influencing the character he has and how he treats other people.
The bottomline… her love is our superpower. Few things can heal and uplift like a mother’s love. The key is supporting her so that she can give from her overflow.
Surround her with love and watch everyone flourish. 💐

This is surreal to me…
Doing 1,000 of ANYTHING consistently is remarkable… Let alone something that requires so much preparation, time, energy, focus, and growth.
Celebrating doesn’t come natural to me because I just want to keep going… I just want to keep getting better. But, thankfully, my wife, my friends, my family and community are showing me so much love with this special milestone that it’s gotten me to take a moment to realize how incredible this is.

I’ve been a dad for over 30 years!
It’s such an ingrained part of my identity… And no one tells you how difficult it is to let go. No one tells you that you will mourn the stages of parenthood that we might take for granted…
Picking our kids up from school, putting them into the car seat, making and sharing meals together, pushing them in the stroller, taking them to practices and games… just listening to them talk with their little (but mighty!) voices.
All of that changes. And we will miss it dearly.
But, what no one tells you as well, is that being a parent never really stops! It simply evolves. And that evolution can be beautiful. If you get good at this (which I think I have done after raising 3 kids over the course of these 3 decades), you will be able to REALLY enjoy the moments more. You will take SO MANY more mental snapshots and movies of the simple day-to-day experiences you have with your kids.
I’m grateful to be here and to be doing all of this with the love of my life, Anne Stevenson.
Speaking of which, these moments of evolution can be tough on her as well. Our youngest baby boy is now 14! And he recently went on a multi-day school trip with his teachers and classmates. After she dropped him off at the airport, she came back and cried in my arms (after she cried in the car first lol). I said… “I’ve got you, baby.” And I also said, “We are getting th f*ck out of here!”
Instead of sitting around sad and counting the hours until he gets home, I planned a trip for us to go to Santa Barbara for a few days. It was a little less than a 90 minute drive and it gave us a chance to invest in what will be here even when all of our babies are gone… OUR LOVE… OUR RELATIONSHIP… OUR CONNECTION.
I took her for all of the delicious food, artsy hotel, meditation class, beach exploration, shopping, and other little adventures and chill time in between. Not only did this help “take her mind off” missing our youngest, this helped to remind her of who SHE is and who WE are together. We barely even got on the road for the trip before she was laughing, living, and letting go.
Here’s some moments from the trip. ❤️✊🏽
Is this the secret to being MORE athletic?💡

It’s not every day that you get to learn from a 3-time Olympian and national record holder. Liz Gleadle is one of the best athletes in the world at one of the most mechanically challenging and explosive sports on the planet.
In a culture where hard work and suffering are often uplifted as the means to achieve greatness, @javelizz is living proof of what’s possible through a different approach. What if prioritizing PLEASURE and PLAY is the secret to faster learning, better performance, and even reducing the risk of injuries?
Find out exactly how Liz utilizes this approach in her life and how she’s teaching this to her student athletes as well on this brand new episode of The Model Health Show!

Monday Is International Chest Day🙄
It’s actually quite sad. Banged up broken down meatheads STILL force feeding bench press on Mondays and then making excuses why they skip legs the rest of the week.
EVERY single week for years (or decades) until…
They continue to lose mobility, are riddled with chronic pain, get weaker and fatter and ultimately lose their overall health.
It doesn’t have to be this way. This is a self inflicted worst case scenario that is all too common. But hugely avoidable.
But in order to rebuild your body, you must get out of your own way and stop competing with your 21 year old self.
What worked for you “in college” won’t work at 40.
As your life continues to evolve, so does your training. So ask yourself the question. Are you chasing the good old days?
Or are you looking forward to transforming your future to be stronger, leaner and healthier than ever before (for life)?
Change is hard, but if your body is flashing red? It’s time…
