SKATER TOP 5: We asked
@shawnmac_ for his favorite personal clips with backstories. Thanks Shawn!
5. Sw 180, Gap to Front Board
This one’s real old, maybe like 2013 or 2014, honestly one of my favorite clips I’ve gotten in general, filmed by Sam McCormick for his video “dingus collective” those were fun times.
4. Ollie, Hardflip
This one’s also really old, classic downtown spot, it’s gone now, but I heard the sculptures being stored at Suffolk downs in revere randomly, but yeah me, tim and squad would skate downtown after work all the time back then, also fun times, I remember this one taking a little bit, also I can’t even hardflip anymore.
3. Cellar Door to 5050
This one’s from a trip to Ny a while back, my friend Jesse is from out there and showed me this spot, super quick to pop up then pop to the rail, was definitely a scary one, Tim savage also filmed this.
2. Cellar Door Front Shuv
This one’s from a dial tone edit a while ago, filmed by Sam McCormick, we went out super early to get this one, I was having trouble committing to it, then a cop rolled up and this was the last try, sometimes I need that extra push to actually go for things lol.
1. 5050 Flat-Down
This spots wild, think this was 2019, we were in Rhode island at a spot and I wondered off to look around the neighborhood, I saw this in someone’s driveway and immediately ran back to grab Ted to film, I don’t think anyone was home so we got some time, and I managed to get the 5050, it was tough because u had minimal ride up to get up this big ass ramp, but it ended up working out, I went back a couple weeks later to get a photo and the dude that lived there freaked the fuck out on us. Glad I got the clip though, one of the coolest spots I’ve ever stumbled upon for sure.
