At 19, I became a mother.
Two and a half months later, I was fighting for my life after being shot.
I remember praying to God, begging Him to give me another chance—not for me, but for my baby. She was so small, so innocent, and she needed her mama.
God answered that prayer.
My life changed forever. Paralyzed became my new reality, and I had to learn how to live all over again while raising a child. I didn’t always understand why this was my story, but one thing I always knew—I would never let my daughter be without her mother.
This journey was never meant to be easy. A disability can kill you if you let it, but I refused to let. I prayed for the day I would see my baby go to prom… to graduate… to grow into the woman I knew she could be.
Everything I’ve done, I’ve done with that prayer in my heart.
To my daughter—
I go hard for you because I know what you’re capable of. Even when I’m tough on you, even when I seem like the bad guy, it’s because I see your greatness. My mother did the same for me, and it made me the woman I am today.
Now you’re stepping into your next chapter.
The ball is in your court.
Your support system is always here.
no matter what…
Mama loves you. 💜
