No Label Academy C/O ‘23 has commenced but it’s only the beginning of the journey for all of us & the three words that came to mind throughout this entire experience were acceptance, gratitude & clarity. My entire path & life changed in Cambridge: •Becoming vulnerable at my rawest form, confronting fears/trauma I’ve ran away from, in order to grow as an artist & human being and give y’all the complete version of myself unapologetically. •Connecting with my insanely talented classmates, growing into a new family & witnessing all the individually bright auras that make us uniquely amazing (y’all inspired the fuck out of me, the price of the work is UP!) •The supreme vision & intention (along with self-belief & community) necessary to nurture a sustained & happy ecosystem in this life we call the music industry. And more importantly: being reaffirmed that ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE, only your outlook & work ethic can determine that outcome. •Also: A FIRST GENERATION COLLEGE STUDENT TURNED DROPOUT, WAS COOLING IT AT HARVARD??? IN HAND-CURATED DIOR!? WITH SOME OF THE GREATS!? DAWG, WE REALLY DID THAT SHIT! If you told me in 2020 when I dropped out of FIU (amidst a battle with low funds, depression, anxiety, & the world on my shoulders) that I would be at Harvard University, for doing what I love… I probably wouldn’t believe you. But with perseverance, hard-work, the loving spirit of my support system, a little bit of luck and a gracious extension from @idk & @nolabel.live It’s now a reality. Thank you for taking a chance on a kid from the 401 & believing in me. Thank you to Hip-Hop for allowing me to be a guest & active participant while also taking me to heights I never thought imaginable. To say I’m blessed would be a gross understatement… This past month has felt like a daydream & a far contrast from anything else I’ve experienced so far in my artistic life.
