This cat is the best rat catcher around the hood!
Over the last 4 days she has brought home 5 of them 😲
I love her and she is great comfort when we are in need of some therapy but the drama of having these gross rodents running around my house is just too much

Giraffes are really gentle and sociable animals who enjoy mealtimes with their family and friends
Being gentle and connecting with ourselves and eachother is important in our world too
For my family and I, last week ended with some incredibly difficult and heartbreaking challenges, which we are still processing now
I know that I need to be gentle to everyone affected, including myself and connect with the people who I am lucky enough to have in my life
We are all here for eachother and connecting with people is more valuable than we think. Even if it's just a message with words of love and support
I created this giraffe after purchasing part of it in @suerydercharity and have spent a good few months adapting it by adding the frame and using a variety of media, including tassels, gold chains, polyfilla, false lashes and @temu_uk gold calligraphy ink
I am really happy with it, I'm tempted to keep it for myself but it is for sale, DM me if interested

As I sit here in the silence of the sun, I reflect on the big achievements of my daughters this week
Ivy and Blossom have had huge struggles attending mainstream provisions with unmet needs for the last 3 years
Those 3 years of fighting, advocating, attending meetings, emailing, calling and most importantly holding them in a safe space at home have been incredibly tough for all 3 of us
This week at their new provision, which I am eternally grateful for, they have managed a full week and deserve all the praise and rewarding they have received
However I am also allowing myself to take a huge amount of credit for making that happen, as a single, neurodivergent mother myself
I had to sacrifice my dream job, social life and my own needs to fight this battle with and for them.
Because let's face it, we would do anything to see our children happy!
I would not have changed anything and I am forever proud of myself and my amazing daughters

Ever wondered what do with your candles when they've burnt out? Or pine cones you've collected from the park?
Here's an idea from me, a serial candle burner who hates waste...
Place your pine cones in muffin cases and pour in a little wax. Let them dry and now you have some beautiful fire starters!
Be careful not to add too much wax (just enough to hold everything together) as wood burners don't like it that much
I shall be gifting these at any opportunity!

Another day, another printers tray to paint
With the funeral of a friend bringing up some suppressed emotions from the loss of my brother, I have been spending time in my own head
I also got a bit hyper focused in painting all of my printers trays but feel so much joy in seeing how they turn out. Just love the colours!

When life is hard, my body tells me to make something
Today I painted one of my printers trays using acrylic paints
Art helps me to be mindful and somehow takes me away from my struggles
I shall be uploading more creations as I go, hoping to set up an online shop soon
