Jack was an incredibly interesting person and a quite a colourful character. He was the kind of guy who, if he found something interesting, he was going to do it - regardless of whether or not it was within the bounds of the law. That meant that during the prohibition days, Jack was the go-to-guy for your bootlegging needs.
To his credit though, he always stood by his actions and insisted upon representing himself in court for all of his many appearances. Truly a one-of-a-kind.

CEJ Mussell, owner of Sharpe Distillery is a member of The Sqwà (Skwah) First Nation. Sqwà First Nation is located in the Stó:lō Territory near Chilliwack Landing and includes lands at Skwali, Skwahla, and Schelowat, with shared administration of Grass and Skumalasph.
Sqwà is one of three Nations of the Pelóxwlh Tribe, alongside Xwchíyò:m and Qweqwe’ópelhp.
Sharpe Distillery, owned by Tracy Sharpe and husband CEJ Mussell can be found in Cawston, British Columbia, Canada where Tracy grew up. Sharpe Distillery is located within the territory of the Smelqmix (Similkameen) Nation, specifically, the Lower Similkameen Indian Band, which is a member of the Okanagan Nation Alliance of the Syilx.
We are honoured to stand alongside other Indigenous entrepreneurs, forging a path of sustainability, cultural pride, and community driven success.
