I have very sad news.
Yesterday, July 24, was Earth Overshoot Day and it’s not a cause for celebration.
Earth Overshoot Day is the day each year when humanity has used more resources than our Earth can #regenerate. We are using resources at such a high rate - as if we have 1.8 Earths, but we only have one. 🌎
50 years ago, Earth Overshoot Day was in December.
Let that sink in…
We can and we must #change.
Waste less food. Consume less. Switch to infinitely recyclable materials like #glass or #aluminum instead of #plastic. Choose better- not more.
Together, we can push this day back to December and only when it lands on December 31st will we celebrate 💚

It seems like yesterday, but there’s no doubting the magnitude of how much has taken place between then and now. I have to stop and take a moment to recognize how far we’ve come & how much we’ve accomplished (for anyone that knows me, this is NOT easy for me to do because I’m always ‘on to the next challenge’).
When I think about the infrastructure and programs that have been created, it astounds me.
But the ‘what’ and ‘how’ can never measure up to the ‘who’ and ‘why’.
I’m humbled & honored to work alongside such an incredible & diverse group of professionals that share the same goals and aspirations. They work SO hard to do this HARD work. I’m beyond grateful for each and every person on our team!
We don’t just sell shampoo.
Every single day, we educate and share our story in hopes that people will begin to think differently about their daily actions…
To choose quality over quantity
To consume less by consuming better
To recognize and value pure and precious ingredients
To think about the complete life-cycle of the packaging - can they reuse it? Is it infinitely recyclable?
To say NO to plastic and YES to ending this plastic pandemic.
It’s not easy. But it IS possible. And the rewards will benefit everyone - for generations to come.
