SUPERNATURE: Commute in the adversity – Part 1/3
Sultan: “Time unfolds in the shadow of eternity, a fleeting dance where we encounter myriad experiences that shape our identities. In our growth, we sometimes conceal our true selves behind masks of political correctness.
We grapple with a spectrum of emotions—lust, love, joy, sadness, fear, kindness, rage, cowardice, and deception. We often cling to the belief that time will mend our deepest wounds.
Yet, even as time works its magic, our demons return, reminding us of the scars we carry. I choose to bring these scars to the garden, nurturing them until they bloom into something beautiful.”
We’ve created this project being inspired by the nostalgia of discovering who we are as individuals and what brings us joy in the darkest times of the same journey.
We had to look back into our youngest selves and had a conversation with them to find those memories of happiness and love sharing the same topics; which were heavily influenced by late 2010s South Korean visuals, sounds and bands. Also, how nature with time claims what belongs to her and take over buildings that were left behind by the human kind, the European streetwear movement in the electronic music as counterculture and the sounds of the masterpiece “There is not right time” by Youandewan.
All these elements allowed us to create a unique vision of how we can cherish our joyful moments in the journey of discovering who we are and not hide behind our back. Taking our darkest side to light. And finally, flourish in the adversity.
