The Shared Campus Critical Ecologies summer school is underway. For two weeks in July, a group of international art and design students have been exploring the unique environment of Athens, Elefsina, Aspropyrgos and the Thriasio Plain, exchanging with local artists, communities and organisations. They learned from the changing rural and post-industrial landscapes, and critically explored issues of extractivism, globalism, and its ecological impacts. The young artists reciprocate by sharing their responses and experiences through two public events, contributing to the Saint Marina Festival in Aspropyrgos on Wednesday 16 July, and hosting an exhibition at [SIC] space for international cooperation in Athens on Thursday 17 July. Please join us! #sharedcampus #sowingseeds #criticalecologies #extractivism #westattica @sic.in.athens

Ghostly Matters Presentation Exhibition and Performances at SURVIVE! Garage Friday, 28 February 2025 8 - 11 PM „Ghostly Matters“ is a collection of stories – stories of destruction and cure/care, of absence and presence, resistance and interconnectedness between humans and the more-than-human. It is a fleeting moment of materialisation, a crossing between Yogyakarta and Zurich. The work in progress stems from many inspiring conversations and exchanges with artists, collectives and friends. Inspirations circulate! We share an interest in ecological action for a better life on this planet. This sharing of a work in progress is part of the intensive course of the minor "Critical Ecologies / Alternative Futures" at the Zurich University of the Arts and was developed by Nuria Krämer in exchange with Ruobing Wang from LASALLE College of the Arts Singapore and IWen Chang from Taipei University of the Arts. #survivegarage #presentationexhibition #performances
