Lamination of the top of the board can be a delicate dance of strength and flex. We use two layers of fiberglass to achieve this balance. We trim it as needed, along with cutting our breaks on the fiberglass to allow everything to bond together perfectly. Once this step is done, it's time to pour the resin!

The engine bay of the halligan model.
Water gets forced into the channel, which puts pressure against the channel walls. This pressure creates lift and speed.
As the water hugs the curves of the channel, this locks that pressure and speeds up over curve as the channel gets deeper as it travels down the board.
All the pressure then abruptly gets released, but guided by the vee as the water exits the channel. This now creates low pressure, allowing the board to maneuver more freely.
As a thruster (3fin) the center fin helps you pivot and track as the center fin is on top of the vee. As a quad (4fin) the trailer fins are left in the inside the vee, which creates even more drive while on rail.
The swallow tail that's being cut in, gives you a point to pivot off of making this board a fun experience of drive, speed, and maneuverability.
