Day 2 of painting on Mayne Island! I woke up early to catch the Georgina Point Lighthouse building in maximum light and shadow (and to have some shade to paint in). I knew right away I wanted a circle substrate for this scene. I made lots of new friends (human kind today) while I painted. A fantastic day punctuated by a happy visit to Mayne Island Brewing Co. to celebrate a good painting!

Yesterday was a perfect plein air painting day on Bowen Island! The weather was perfect and all of mother nature was out to say hello: deer, raven, heron, crab, eel, geese, and even horses and a Manx cat! Thankful for James' photography and for always being down for an adventure.
