This is going get a little raw. In the last few years I have played a small but enthusiastic role in establishing the VR game development company Continuum XR. In those last few years we’ve created a few games, but none of them really hit the high hopes we had. Actually, we lost a lot of money. Or rather, my bosses and friends Spencer Cook and Michael Murdock lost a lot of money.
So it wasn’t without some trepidation that our small development team released our third in-house VR game back in September. That game is called UG. It’s a delightful and charming game wherein you are a caveman/ape character living in a lush prehistoric world and you can raise and collect your own dinosaurs which you can ride into battle with your friends. My role has been as artist and designer.
Anyway, the point is UG is great. And this week it hit the #5 most popular VR title in the meta quest store. Just behind Roblox. And climbing. UG has been the top earning VR title now for months.
This is a dream come true for me and I couldn’t possibly be more grateful and proud. Corina and I can’t quite believe what’s happening. Right now we have around 15,000 people (mostly boys) playing our game per day. That is unbelievable. We have over 170,000 reviews for our game with a score of 4.9/5 stars.
Michael and Spencer, thank you so much. Thank you for asking me to help create a weird ass marketing video with you guys back in July 2020 and thanks for keeping me around.
Unfortunately I have had to say goodbye to some friends along the way. I’ll draw a butt for you any day of the week, Conor. Thinking of you too, Jason. Declan, Max, Reiley, Kaiyan, and others. I loved you humans. Each of you helped create the Continuum that exists today and I’m very grateful for all of you.
Corina, thanks for being a friend and a confidant. I love you enormously. You’re my #1 fan.

Shelly Johnson is a young waitress at the Double R Diner in Twin Peaks. She’s kindhearted and attractive but stuck in a miserable, abusive marriage to Leo Johnson, a violent criminal. She’s having an affair with Bobby Briggs and dreams of escaping her small-town life. Shelly’s mix of innocence and toughness makes her one of the show’s more sympathetic and grounded characters.

I’ll get back to Inktober soon, but wanted to share some more Twin Peaks stuff. We went to an incredibly fun Halloween party last night with some friends we’ve made here in Daybreak. We went as characters from Twin Peaks. I was FBI special agent Dale Cooper; the greatest character in the history of television. And Corina went as the Log Lady. LOL
Day 8: Sheriff Harry S. Truman
The steady, kind-hearted sheriff of Twin Peaks. Grounded and loyal, he balances Cooper’s eccentricity with quiet strength and small-town decency. He’s also an enormous fan of donuts.

Day 7: Denise Bryson
A calm, confident DEA agent and former FBI colleague of Cooper’s who transitioned during her career. She handles bigotry with grace and charm, and proves herself highly capable.

Day 6: Albert Rosenthall
A sharp-tongued FBI forensics expert whose brilliance is matched only by his sarcasm. Beneath his harsh, cutting wit, he’s loyal and deeply principled.

Day 5: Blackie O’Reilly
Blackie O’Reilly is the sultry, manipulative madam who runs One-Eyed Jack’s, the casino and brothel just over the Canadian border. Once a glamorous socialite, she’s now jaded and controlled by her evil, manipulative bosses as well as her addiction to heroin.
Day 4: Bobby Briggs
Bobby Briggs is a fiery high school football player and Laura Palmer’s boyfriend. Though quick-tempered and reckless, he sometimes shows glimpses of a good heart hiding under all that angst. His appearance in Twin Peaks: The Return shows how much he’s grown. I honestly think Bobby is one of the best characters in the show.
