For Rory’s 2nd birthday party this year, he has decided on Cork City and curated a fantastic line-up for the occasion.
On the eve of St Patrick’s Day (16th March), it kicks off in the Kino, 22 Washington Street, from 7pm until late o’clock. (Early arrival advised.)
One of the best and busiest duos in the game, Tama Sumo & Lakuti fly in from Berlin for an extended set to send you home on a high. Expect Chicago house, disco heat, African rhythms, and non-stop quality music to move you all night long.
East West Assembly (EWA) are a live band coming out of Ireland, with an album forthcoming on Theo Parrish’s mighty Sound Signature record label. The band works with Monica Blaire on lead vocals, coming direct from Detroit for this intimate show. A high-energy 11-piece band made up of incredible musicians from all over the world that will blow your socks clean off. We genuinely don’t know when they’ll play next and are extremely lucky to have them perform. Do not miss them.
Rory’s residents, Frawl & Shane, will play some records to hold it down and get you in the mood. Cork’s own Abbie Lee will be joining us with incredible unreleased forthcoming material that you will have definitely heard here first.
Last but not least (in fact, quite the opposite), Big Red is the all-analogue sound system we’re bringing into the Kino for this night. As they say, there will be nuff bass. It’s simply immense and will sound amazing in one of the coolest clubs in Cork.
Get down early — that’s the key — and let’s dance, party, and be merry together.
