Taking part in the black and white logo challenge from a few I’ve done over the years. Some of these logos are pretty much old enough to drive at this point, but I’m glad they lasted this long!

I love pinball. And I really love @sternpinball — they’re the leading modern pinball company that puts out multiple releases a year. I don’t own one, but it’s always been a huge goal for someday.
So by the request of absolutely no one, I had the urge to do a branding exercise on how I would give them a rebrand — building on what they already had but evolving it. Their early logo in the 70s was a nice script, so I used Rodando Ave by @hoodzpahdesign and placed the variable text under (Trade Gothic), tucked in the shadow of the flipper.
From there I designed some seals, a horizontal logo out of the flipper form, and some secondary logos.
And what rebrand is complete without a tote bag? It’s become the “does it fax?” of this generation.
Of my top albums this year, only one actually came out this year. These were my go to albums this year.
1. @hamiltonleithauser (This side of the island)
2. @wearesadgirl (Deluxe Edition)
3. @togetherpangea (Bulls & Roosters)
This year had a ton of great video games… and a few more that I have in my queue. But here’s some I enjoyed.
1. Ghost of Yotei (such a great game)
2. Indiana Jones (loved how well rounded it felt)
3. Metal Gear Snake Eater (such a great remaster)
4. Doom the Dark Ages (it didn’t deserve the hate)
5. Donkey Kong Bananza (never saw it coming)
6. Dispatch (couldn’t stop playing it)
7. Mario Kart World (needs more content!)
This year had some pretty good movies, but here’s my favorite this year:
1. Superman (saw it five times)
2. Friendship (its nuts)
3. One Battle After Another (great pacing)
4. Mission Impossible: final reckoning (it was okay compared to the one before it)
All the marvel movies this year were just okay to meh, Phoenician Scheme by Wes Anderson was underwhelming, and 28 years later was ultimately just fine.
This illustration was inspired by seeing someone sitting all contorted on a fire hydrant while on their phone, waiting for a bus in possibly the most uncomfortable and gravity-defying sitting position possible.
Happy Halloween! I’ve been playing a lot of Ghost of Yotei lately, and drew these on my trip to Adobe Max, which both felt in the spirit of spookiness. Looking to use these on turntable when that illustrator feature becomes available (can’t wait).
I got to design the west coast tour poster and t-shirt for @murryhammondmusic who’s going on tour with @rhettmiller ! If you’ve never seen them in the Old97s, they put on a great show. See them play live, buy some merch!
I thought it would be fun to design a tote bag graphic for an imaginary bowling alley. So I did ( and designed the vintage signage and logo just for fun too, which I might share later).
