Spent sometime sharing about the journey so far and I am excited about what the future holds for @the_city_choir
#the500citychoir
I remember how it all started, at number 17b Ajigbotinu Street, Agege Lagos, in our small church. I became the music director at age 18.
I was sleeping In church those years, and I would write songs, arrange songs for my church choir, there was nothing like “The City Choir” in view. I was just that passionate little boy who wanted to make a difference. I just wanted something different and out of this world. I was in that small church all my life, at some point, I felt like I was not doing enough, I didn’t know God was preparing me for something greater, I stayed, I practiced, i learned to depend on God and here we are, 10 years later! 🙏🏾
I remember how I would be conducting our church choir back then, and I would be seeing thousands of singers before me, I didn’t get it, but i understand right now and I am grateful to God for his grace.
And this is just the beginning!

I don’t want to live a life that only looks good on stage.
I want to live a life that changes cities, influences nations, and leaves this generation better than I met it.
The unveiling of the 1000 City Choir was proof that God can take a burden and turn it into a movement.
And I promise you this: I won’t settle. I won’t slow down. I won’t waste the assignment.
We are going for impact real, lasting, generational impact.

A Prayer for Nigeria🇳🇬
We pray for true peace not the silence that covers injustice, but the peace that comes when righteousness and justice reign in this land.
We stand against every form of evil working against our nation. Against corruption that steals from the poor. Against oppression that silences the weak. Against systems that deny justice and protect the guilty.
Lord, arise and scatter every agenda of darkness. Let no weapon formed against the destiny of Nigeria prosper. Let truth rise, let accountability return, and let leaders govern with fear of You and love for the people.
We declare that Nigeria will not be defined by violence, injustice, or hopelessness.
God, strengthen those who stand for truth. Give courage to the weary, wisdom to the leaders, and a voice to the voiceless.
We trust You with Nigeria. We believe You are able to heal, restore, and establish justice here.
Let Your peace, Your justice, and Your glory cover this land.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
