All the collected items will be delivered this week to Interfaith Community Services for distribution. The leaders on this project were Sophie and Mateo, coordinating closely with Councilmember Acosta, and Caitlin connected us with Shake Shack, who are extremely supportive of community causes. each friday, our students choose where they’d like to go for travel training. while these trips are always a fun time, they provide the students with valuable hands-on real world experience in the community.
before the trip, each student researched the menu, wrote down their order, and practiced ordering independently. we’re so proud of all the hard work, confidence, and independence our students build each week! 💛
