Learning how to do cinematic colour grading has taught me a bunch of things so far:
1. Understanding people and landscapes has more of an impact on certain shots than simply correcting and changing colours from a raw file.
2. Colour grading is a form of storytelling where small changes can tell a completely different story!
3. Shooting your own stuff rather than finding random log files online seems like the best way to go about colour grading. When you’re shooting your own stuff, you have better understanding of what grading style you want to get out of it.
if anyone wants to work together to creative visual pieces, give me a shout! 🍸

So as I was walking around my local area, coming back from a long time away from London, I found this picture of me as a 4 year old in my pocket and I got to thinking about how this trip I was on, in many ways saved my life. I was in a really bad place before going away and took drastic steps to try end that pain. However, after coming back from said trip, and seeing this photo a day after I came back - I was reminded of my younger self, and all the joy and happiness that would fill my lil heart every day. Upon looking at that photo, I was reminded that everything I do during this transitional period of my life, I should ask myself “what can I do to ensure that I’m continuously healing that inner child in me”, to remember not to take life so seriously and ask for help if things get too difficult to manage.
Been thinking about that a lot recently and wanted to share that with anyone who got to this point.
