NIGHTWING FOR SUNDAY OF TORONTO COMICN 2026!
.
So I don’t have any proper reveal photos so this will have to suffice! But this is kind 10 years in the making as the first suit commission I ever took was for a gender bent Nightwing for Fan Expo 2016 which I built on the floating armor system. Following that, I took another Nightwing commission for my friend for Fan Expo 2023 on the modular adaptable armor system, and finally, yet another Nightwing commission for Comicon 2025 under a slightly different aesthetic.
.
AND FINALLY, I made a Nightwing for myself! Built off of the ‘gymnast’ body type, first drafted in 2019, this armor is almost entirely EVA foam and is a loose interpretation of the redbird suit worn by Chris O’Donnell and his accompanying doubles in Schumacher’s Batman & Robin (1997). The back panel, however, is loosely based on a New52 Nightwing model sheet illustrated by
@philchoart . The only parts that aren’t final from this post is my hair, my weight, and the footwear (or lack thereof, as I just have my feet blacked out in these photos) but catch me at Toronto Comicon Sunday with my titans!
