Wrapped up this vertical grain Douglas fir carport that we designed with space for two cars and plenty of room for outdoor toys to make the most of Hudson Valley living.
Following the natural grade felt like the right move here, and we took extra care dialing in the stain to tie back into the existing deck. We also tucked a custom storage shed beneath the screened porch for garden + lawn gear.
Working with existing concrete piers and some out of square conditions always adds character to a build, but she’ll weather in beautifully and look like she was designed this way from day.
