The Voices With Impact World Premiere! June 3!
VWI and SFU LIVE are partnering again for VWI 2026.
SFU Live have been an incredible partner in making the VWI 2026 premiere happen. Thank you @sfulive for providing recording space and supporting the Vancouver film community.
On June 3, all ten VWI short films will premiere together for the first time at an in-person screening in Vancouver. Filmmakers will be in the room. There will be a Q&A. It’s going to be a special night.

The film “Bella Sutra” by OK Pedersen, explores the complex relationships between humans and the non-human world. Filmed on hand-processed 16mm in Bella Coola, the work combines humour, live narration and a musical ensemble to reflect on life in a remote mountain village Pedersen’s essayistic approach meditates on community and the tension between rural and urban perspectives, offering a deeply personal yet resonant portrait of human connection. This screening features a live score, immersing audiences in the rhythms of Pedersen’s cinematic world.
