Here is the kitchen of fallingwater. You don’t normally get to see this on the tour. The cupboards are painted stainless steel and inside them is a built in flour sifter! There are no exposed shelves at all in here, which I think says a lot about FLW’s aesthetic control. Also look at the wacky detail on top of the cabinet - awesome!
It is a great honor to participate in the first ever Touchstone Center for Crafts and Fallingwater artist residency. For one week, I am intimately exploring Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater house, after which I will head to the nearby Touchstone Center for Crafts to create a new body of work for exhibition at Fallingwater upon completion of its three year renovation and its grand reopening for the 90th anniversary at the end of August.

This is the first location in my home where I had this piece, I moved it next to the reading chair later. This one shows off the new brass dimming knob that is hot-sculpted with a plasma cutter to look like a rough stone. Check out the crucible planter too - a marriage of textures.
Been really enjoying this floor light in my apartment. This is the first pieces that are unglazed, but instead are sprayed repeatedly with a fine mist of the same clay to build up a sand-like texture. This six stem base is thermal-sprayed bronze that is then patinated dark brown.
These are part of the proposal drawings for my installation at Burdock and Co. I thought I would share this, as I do proposal drawings for free for any project you might be thinking of. Every installation is specifically made for each context, and often, though not in this case, glazes are specifically developed for each project. These glazes were some of the first developed to represent the landscape around Vancouver, they literally have shells and minerals from this incredible landscape included in their composition.
