Strong Health & Community Systems (HCS) are the foundation of effective public health, and this was the focus of our recent HCS on the Spotlight event, hosted by the HCS Programme Delivery Unit in collaboration with
@sfhaccess .
During the session, we highlighted how SFH interventions including
@integrateproject , SWIFT, TASAD and PACs are contributing to reduced maternal and neonatal mortality by promoting healthy behaviours, expanding access to family planning and primary health care services, and ensuring the availability of quality, affordable commodities.
Central to this impact are Community Pharmacists (CPs) and Patent and Proprietary Medicine Vendors (PPMVs), trusted frontline providers who serve as the first point of care for millions of Nigerians. By delivering essential health services, improving access in underserved communities, and supporting disease prevention and surveillance, they remain critical to strengthening Nigeriaâs health system.
The event also showcased innovative solutions from SFH ACCESS, including AccessCare, our digital health platform that connects users to licensed doctors for consultations, prescriptions, and follow-up care anytime, anywhere. Staff also experienced a mini pharmacy setup, demonstrating how quality-assured medicines and logistics services are improving access to care across communities.
Through collaboration, innovation, and community-based approaches, we are strengthening systems, expanding access, and improving health outcomes, one community at a time.
