The avocado mulch is working a treat on our garlic patch.

Lawrence from @sffoodtech met Murray in a local cafe and they got chatting business. Lawrence shared he’d recently opened a premises in Manjimup to process seconds avocados into ( now award winning) avocado oil.
Murray asked what he did with his skins and seeds.
Long story short, to complete the loop, we took the final waste.
Week after week bulka bags would arrive with waste and Mt Avocado grew (I fondly named it)!
Murray added a truck load of sheep manure, some deceased animals including roo carcasses from a pet food processor and some wood chips. It was a very hot compost and the end result was all the seeds split. No risk of growing trees.
We planted our garlic and Murray wanted to use the avocado mulch as a weed suppressant and compost all in one.
So far 🤞🤞🤞the mulch is suppressing the grass and hasn’t grown any itself. Feeling super hopeful it will be a success.
