@fusiondumplingsf is always a winner!
I took my foodie friend and chef @thaicookingwithsunshine here with our husbands, and we cleaned out the plates!
From the pork soup dumplings in a tree to the crab lo mein on floating chopsticks to the tea smoked duck, this meal did not disappoint.
Check them out in Chinatown, and follow for more San Francisco recommendations guaranteed to impress your friends!

📍Yummy Bakery & Cafe
607 Jackson St, San Francisco, CA 94133
🍮On my last Best Egg Tarts in the Bay Reel, a lot of people commented for me to come try Yummy Bakery for their egg tarts so here I am at Yummy Bakery on Jackson 👀✨
They’ve got both the classic egg tarts and egg white versions — plus all the nostalgic Hong Kong bakery staples 🥐💛 think pineapple buns, paper-wrapped sponge cakes, and more
Not gonna lie… I still think Golden Gate Bakery holds the crown for egg tarts 👑 BUT this is a very close second (and clutch for those days when Golden Gate is closed 😅)
Pro tip: GET. THE. HONG KONG MILK TEA 🧋🔥
Would you pick this over Golden Gate? 🤔👇
Love love Chinatown SF! As a native, any biz in this district warms my heart! ♥️
There’s so much culture, history and warmth in this neighborhood. The lanterns when you walk along Chinatown. Something about being in a crowded place but not feeling lonely. Home is home! 🏡💕

📍Spork - San Francisco
(Invite) If you’re looking for a new brunch spot to check out in the city, check out @sf.spork in Chinatown. They’re open on weekends from 10am-2pm for brunch and they offer Asian fusion options ranging from your classic eggs benedicts and chicken and waffles all the way to bo luc lac and tom yum noodle soup.
What we got:
🍜 Tom Yum Noodle Soup w/ noodles
🥩 Bo Luc Lac (Boh Luke Lak)
🍳 The Omelette
🍌 Banana French Toast
🥂 Iced Butterfly Lychee Fizz
🥂 Lychee Mimosa
☕️ Vietnamese Dalgona Coffee
☕️ House Coffee
We decided to get some drinks and food and everything we got is listed above. For drinks we started off with the Butterfly Lychee Fizz, Lychee Mimosa, Vietnamese Dalgona Coffee, and House Coffee. The butterfly fizz and lychee mimosa was super pretty with the gradient of purple, and both were sweet and refreshing. The dalgona coffee had that thick layer of cream on top, and definitely took some time to mix up but it was a very creamy drink.
For food we decided to get the banana french toast to share at the table, and I personally think this would be good for multiple people to share since it is a pretty sweet dish. The banana had a creme brûlée topping too so that added a nice crunch to it. The omelette was a nice classic, it came with crispy potatoes, garlic toast, salad, and a sweet, crispy bacon as well. The bo luc lac came with tender marinated beef and onions and the same crispy potatoes, garlic toast, and salad. I also went for the tom yum noodle soup, and this came with a good amount of shrimp along with the noodles. The broth had a nice sour flavor with a little kick.
Thank you to Spork for having us! 🫶

It began with gold.
They came chasing the same dream as everyone else who flooded into California that year.
They came from Guangdong province, speaking Cantonese, with almost nothing, and they built what the Library of Congress recognizes as the oldest Chinatown in North America.
The city tried to ignore them. Then it tried to exclude them.
In 1882, Congress passed the Chinese Exclusion Act, what the National Archives describes as the first and only federal law to suspend immigration of a specific nationality. It would remain on the books until 1943.
Then, on the morning of April 18, 1906, the earth moved.
The earthquake did what legislation could not. It leveled everything.
According to records held by the San Francisco History Center, city officials had relocation proposals drafted within days of the disaster. The plan was tidy. The timing was not accidental.
The community looked at the maps.
Then they looked at the rubble of everything they had built, on land they were not legally allowed to own, in a country that had banned their families from entering.
They folded the maps. They picked up what remained.
And they built it back, block by block, on the same hill, under the same fog, with the same hands that had built it the first time.
What stands on Grant Avenue tonight is not a neighborhood that survived history.
It is a neighborhood that refused to become it.
