Extraction Day 2024 was a great success! 13 groups of @sfbeekeepers members brought over 190 frames to be extracted resulting in an estimated 40 gallons of the most delicious urban honey you’ll ever taste and our amazing volunteers made the day possible! Another cut out from a tree. This one was much denser foliage and had been there long enough to have tons of honey and a lot of capped brood. I estimate a month or slightly more but since there was no emerged brood I suspect it wasn’t more than a month old.
