😜Who did it better, RRR or me? Just kidding—the work they put into the RRR choreography & production led to them winning the 2023 Oscars🙏😂 What an honor and pleasure it is every single time to get to perform for the @sindhoor_natya_navarasa studio showcases. Thank you @aparna_sindhoor for the absolute wonderful friendship we have built this year. I am eternally grateful for who you are as a person & the love/respect you constantly show your students, gurus, & audience. You are a true professional. Thank you @sunil_jussa.n my incredible friendship & fellow dance partner for showing me this song, more of your culture/its history, & bringing more light to my lifelong dance journey. You are more than a friend—I now consider you a brother. Thank you @anilnatyaveda for being THE LOUDEST hype man EVERY TIME. Your screams & excitement coming from the audience brings out the highest level of energy out of me. A true reminder that just ONE extremely supportive voice from the audience can make your performance exceed anything you thought you were capable of in the moment. One hour before this showcase I messaged Aparna asking if I could attend to support, but skip performing because I’ve been exhausted for three weeks (getting around 3-5hrs of sleep every single night) & I just wasn’t feeling my best. When I arrived at the studio she still hadn’t seen my text & I hesitantly said, “you didn’t see my text did you?—It’s..it’s fine. It’s 5min before the showcase & I want to respect that I said I’d perform.” And you know what, I never regret it. In those instances when you feel as such, I encourage you to power through. Especially when it’s for a group of people—nay—a family like this one.

Ladies & gents, Doni is coming back to the Bay! Donivan previously lived in SF & has moved away since 2021, but has never forgotten about his roots. Those of you that knew him from the start are familiar with his iconic “Dead End” sign shuffle videos. Since then he’s participated in America’s Got Talent, worked as a dancer on a cruise, danced for some amazing shows in Las Vegas & taught for ShuffleVerse earlier this year! He’s traveling for instruction this year & he is blessing us with his beautiful heart & soul. We are honored to have him come by & we hope you can make one, two, or maybe all three of his classes! Vulnerability is not weakness… It’s one of your biggest strengths The moment I finished this choreo I knew I was going to cry demonstrating it. I told you all this one topped my others in being my most emotional piece I’ve ever created. I fused 5 different dance styles together as dance is the biggest art & passion in my life. Expressing that even if things are different, my desired utopia is for everyone & everything to not just simultaneously exist—but to coexist. I pulled so many memories & emotions from last year to make this choreo on ~4hrs of sleep at 730a (5hrs before I taught it in class). I’ve recently also been unintentionally challenging myself by choreographing on time crunches because my schedule is just naturally so packed this year. And I’m immensely proud to say I’ve developed the skill of doing so & still creating a masterpiece. Song lyrics: “We’ll make the mundane—a masterpiece” Everything/everyone this year has been an absolute blessing & I will forever be grateful for my 2025.
