This Arab American Heritage Month, we honor the strength, resilience, and contributions of Arab communities while uplifting the work of our Arab Women’s Services program.
Arab Women’s Services at Asian Women’s Shelter addresses the urgent needs of Arab survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking through culturally responsive, survivor-centered support. Whether someone is seeking emotional support, legal referrals, housing resources, or simply a safe and confidential space to talk, the program is here to listen and provide support in Arabic.

Happy International Women’s Month💜
5 years doing Domestic Violence Advocacy work @sf_aws ! My heart is always awed by survivors’ courage to seek help. To my colleagues who are so amazing, strong, unique, intelligent all coming from different cultural backgrounds but on the same mission to do this work. I’m glad we have each other to laugh, cry, struggle over the unfair system barriers that our client navigate on a daily basis.
Thank you so much to our founder Becki Masaki! I’m fan girling so hard!! She’s a woman boss for creating our organization. I cannot imagine doing DV work elsewhere.
Happy International Women’s Day to my mom. We may not agree on everything, but as I grow older I’m understanding her way of love and generational trauma. I love and forgive you and know you did your best as a single mom! Momo and I love you always.
Shoutout to @asianartmuseum@asianwomenarestrong@asiansarestrong
for hosting this meaningful event.
