I am already behind on the WHA anime to the surprise of no one.
But I still have many magical photos taken by @lumenoxphotography at @iconphotofest to share. The way she captured the fabric here is incredible. It is a heavy cape and took up a lot of my weight to Tasmania but was worth it.
She also took some lovely close ups of my first smocking I did on the robe, that you cannot see under the cape. I love smocking and plan to redo some of this with a better plan for it to be visible.

Happy Witch Hat Atelier anime week. What do we think of the first episode?
I have been sitting on these incredible photos by @lumenoxphotography taken as part of @iconphotofest . Not only was it incredible to be part of the festival in gorgeous Hobart, but working with Frankie was a dream. Her photography and style is incredible and we created such whimsy and magic.
Since reading the Witch Hat Atelier manga years ago Qifrey has been a favorite character and I am continuing to love him in the anime. I recommend the manga and/or anime to everyone
I made this cosplay 3 years ago now with no real plans other than wanting to smock for the first time. Fun fact the ribbon on the hat was part of one of my first cosplays around 20 years ago.

My heart is still so full from PAX. Everytime I look at my lanyards I'm filled with tears of joy.
Back at PAX 2023 I gave out my first ribbons at the Hades meet and was so grateful to everyone that stuck them on their lanyard.
Giving out ribbons over the next 2 years and seeing them on lanyards throughout events brought me such joy. Even if the Smash badges were so small it makes designs even more painful
Now PAX 2025 and my ribbon is so long it dragged behind me (the secret was gorilla tape on the back). I've seen such beautifully creative, funny and kind people, who are trinket goblin creatures that want to connect and get shiny things.
Thank you to the amazing @mooglemini whose organisation of the trinket trading was a roaring success and was a delight to see and @rafiraga for their beautiful post explaining all things badge ribbons.
I plan to continue to make silly little specific badge ribbons and I hope people continue to take them and that they bring them as much joy as they bring me.

Badge ribbons are a super cool activity to do at conventions, and we would love to see more Australian con goers making, trading and collecting badges at conventions!!

We put a lot of work and effort into making our D Gray Man cosplays and would be a shame not to wear them more.
Smash 2025 was a blast 🌟. It's always such a good time to catch up with friends and meet new people. Loved seeing so many wonderful people and amazing cosplays!

I've always love work in progress posts. So swip to see the few i remembered to take for Chaos. i tried to work on some fun techniques.
All four: Goldwork design on the collar which i changed to be simplier last minute.
And the dread of a welted breast pocket.
Top right: Completly destroying a shadowheart wig for a foam based removable ponytail
Bottom right: Gems throughout for some extra sparkle
Top left: @quantumanxiety modelling the shoulder faces and then working together to slowely glue it down under the fabric and still let my arm fit

The highlight for PAX me was truly the Hades meetup. I enjoyed seeing everyone's amazing work after a chaotic morning where I realised I forgot my foundation.

Patterning of a jacket and shirt in shiny slippery fabric, wig reconstruction and halo at 3am, not needed goldwork and the shiniest neck piece I could do all done by me.
I forgot that I welted a pocket and pad stitched a collar, because why would I not waste time.
I swear one day I'll work out this posting thing.
