My daughter in her self knitted top.
🧶🥰🌷
She made the #cloudbowpullover from @pompommag and used mohair from @kokonyarn
She gave the neckline and sleeve cuff a cute decorative chain stitch.
And yes! It fits me too! Lucky me 😁
I guess it’s going to be the other way around here. Not teenager steeling mom’s clothes, but mom steeling daughters jumper 😜😅
#pompommagazine #kokonyarn #daughterswhoknit
I’m a very lucky mom to have a daughter who knits pretty tops for me 🥰🥰🥰
We bought the gorgeous mohair lace on holidays at Lago Lugano. It’s from @kokonyarn
She merged it as per the pattern instructions with a cream coloured merino wool.
The pattern is from @pompommag . It’s called the #tellinpullover Bit we decided on short sleeves for spring and autumn.
I’m so very happy with the result!!!
I’ve been wearing it heaps, but I waited to make pics of it until the tulips fields were at its best of course 😉😁

A little Reel on how to set in a rivet with an awl and a hammer!
And again! Never ever ever use a punch tool!!!

I use the @kylieandthemachine jeans hardware and tool kit in this Reel, because I love using those 🩷
Happy sewing 🪡

Made a sweater to go with the pants.
After these pics I decided the neckline was too high, so I changed it. Swipe to see it on the mannequin 👉🏻
And I couldn’t resist showing some pretty insides 😁
Pattern and fabric info:
Pants 👖
The pattern is the #fibremoodlucia from @fibremood and the front welt pockets is from #knipmode.
For this pair I lowered the raise with 4 cm for a more relaxed fit. I made several modifications to a earlier version of this pattern. I mentioned them in a earlier post 😊
I’m very happy with this lowered raise and will definitely make more!
Fabric is a cotton twill from @wasted_fabrics
Top:
The pattern is a blouse pattern from @burda_style 1/2018 that I have used for a sweater. The blouse pattern has the most amazing sleeves and armscye!
To make it into a sweater I sized down one size. I folded away the dart of the blouse pattern, used the neckline of the Hera sweater and winged it for the cuffs and waistband.
Fabric @ansje.stoffen.naailessen
And of course I found another amazing field of tulips for the pictures 🌷 🧡

Made myself some new pants!
👖 🌷
With a challenging pocket from @knipmode
For the base of the pants I used the #fibremoodlucia pattern and then added the super cute pockets from the Dutch sewing magazine #knipmode
The fabric is from @wasted_fabrics
And the cute knitted top from Sézane
Oh and the flower fields around our village are blooming so beautifully. The smell is just wonderful and the colours so vibrant 🌷🌷

What’s better than going on a sewing retreat with not only your sewing machine, but your embroidery equipment as well!?
I spend a whole weekend testing little flowers while chatting, laughing and learning from each other. Of course there was a glas of wine included as well 🍷🙌🏻
Check out my previous posts for the result.

Some stills of my new blouse 🌸🪻💛
And when you swipe all the way to the end some details of the inside and process 🪡
It was a labour of love this blouse.
I stated embroidering the pattern pieces on a sewing weekend in February.
I bought the little embroidery patterns via Etsy and I tested all the flowers first on a little scrap. Testing the hight and width to see if they would fit into the squares of the fabric. Enlarging or reducing the floral embroidery pattern to fit.
After the weekend, only the back panel of the shirt was embroidered 😅
I spend many more weeks behind my machine embroidering the individual pattern pieces with flowers.
🌸🪻🌺🌻🌼🌷
The blouse pattern is my own #harrietblouse pattern designed together with @_beletoile_ I used the ruffle edition for the collar and cuffs which is a free download 😊🙌🏻
The blouse has fully enclosed seams and I hand stitched the collar and button placket so there wouldn’t be a visible sewing line interfering with the embroidered flowers. Swipe to see 👉🏻
I’m super happy with how this turned out!!
And a little shoutout to my sewing weekend buddies @dutchsaidsew_eva and @goudblomme for sharing their embroidery tips and @kadeeken25 for providing me with the proper bobbin thread 🥰
@sewing_maaike and @ama_lianne_sewing for the cute label and @just_me_made for the iron on. And of course @by_linda_made for cheering me on ❤️
This truly is a #sewingweekendedition
I made a #harrietblouse for myself and embroidered fabric I bought on holidays with tiny flowers.
Inspired by Sézane.
#harrietruffleblouse designed by @_beletoile_ and myself 😊

I’m happy I decided to go with the fake Celine metal buttons 😁
Although I really liked the transparant rose ones, swipe to see, this stands out more.
I found these Celine style buttons on holiday in a little shop in Merano Italy 🥰
When on holidays I will always visit the local fabric and or haberdashery shop!

Have you ever encountered this when making a toile for a jacket?
The jacket fits perfectly everywhere, but when you lift your arms there is no way to that without feeling uncomfortable.
This is how I solved the issue.

Chanel inspired jacket 🤍
I made this jacket with the most stunning wool I bought from @harrieboschmodestoffen
The pattern is the #blpfreddie pattern from @bellalovespatterns
The amount of detail in the instructions of Isabella’s patterns is just amazing.
I very much enjoyed sewing this jacket.
Next time I would do a few things differently, but that is just personal preference.
I’m extremely happy with the outcome of this project and am already planning another one of these jackets 😅
