this week in the garden —
peonies are open, the foxglove is getting tall and dramatic, mock orange is making the whole yard smell unreal, and the iris look like they belong in a painting.
I asked chatGPT to help me write a caption for this image.
‘The Chanel perfume of Spring flowers’
Nailed it chat. 💁🏼♀️ I can’t even pretend like I came up with that.
Lily of the Valley season 🤍
Spring, right now— actually almost two weeks ago because time got away from me 🙃 BUT I still want to document because all the very best things are blooming right now and it’s magic.
Snowball Viburnum, the first of the Peonies, Deutzia, butterfly Ranunculus, pink viburnum and THAT WISTERIA… it’s year 3 or 4 and it’s never shown off like that before, it’s still going strong a couple weeks later and it smells so good.

The last half of April flew by. The tulips are done and all the best of Spring has come to life this past couple of weeks. More to come on what’s blooming now.

In the meantime, my absolute favorite discovery this year. Tulip ‘Pink Mist’ 🌷
Spring, right now—
Tulips, Magnolia,Hellebore, Anemone…
and one of my favorite textural stems I’d use in every design if I could.
