I had the pleasure recently of creating something that deviates from my usual work - I was honoured to be commissioned by @kvohst to create an illustration based on his new suite of music written to accompany the novel TRE VARV MOTSOLS by @perfaxneld - thanks both for your trust
The drawing was made whilst listening to the music on repeat and it’s an inner landscape that came to mind.

Bones of the Dead, or Three Turns Counterclockwise is a nine-piece suite of music I’ve composed as a companion to the novel Tre Varv Motsols by Swedish author Per Faxneld. The book is a stunning work of Scandinavian folk horror set in 1929, following a female folklorist who discovers a 17th-century grimoire containing spells that use human bones stolen from graves.
Nine short, minimal pieces ranging from austere piano meditations to Faustian violin and ritualistic vocal incantations performing the original Swedish spell texts from the novel. Featuring Karin Park (Årabrot), Peter Bjärgo (Arcana), narration by Per Faxneld himself, violin by German Dmitriev, and piano by Kimmo Helén (Hexvessel). Mixed and mastered by Gísli Gunnarsson. Artwork by Seventhbell.
The full digital album will be released on 17 April 2026. A limited edition LP on clear vinyl (100 signed copies) follows on 16 May 2026.”
