Zurich, Seven Friday dan @sevenfridayguy
Waktu itu senja sedang asik-asiknya. Ketika saya, @140alule@adekurnee@antoni_id berjalan-jalan menyusuri kota @zurich.switzerland yang baru kami singgahi pagi tadi.
Pada sebuah cafe kami sepakat berhenti untuk sekedar duduk santai sambil ngopi2. Ternyata cafe ini terhubung dengan markas sekaligus shopnya jam dengan design asik… @sevenfriday .
Kami yang memang hanya memesan kopi dan sejumlah penganan kecil, mulai dihampiri orang yang dengan sigap langsung membawa dalam rak berjalan sejumlah koleksi jam. Dari yang awalnya memang tak berniat membeli (kalo ke Swiss ambilnya Rolex lah đź¤), malah jadi tertarik dengan sejumlah koleksi2 itu, sampai akhirnya: Ya udah, Gw ambil yang ini deh, sambil menunjuk sebuah koleksi SF limited series Silk Road Edition.
Segala sesuatunya jadi lebih seru, karena ternyata sang founder SF the one n only Daniel @sevenfridayguy sedang ada di sana. Kesempatan buat ambil foto dan bbrp permintaan coretan dari sang founder. Belum lagi rayu-rayu bonus yang menghasilkan tas dan hoodie keren.
Seven Friday sendiri memang asalnya dari Zurich. Diciptakan pada 2012 dan sempat mengharu biru trend jam tangan anak2 milenial macam saya ini. Nama “SevenFriday” punya makna seolah-olah setiap hari adalah hari Jumat yang membawa semangat hidup dengan hari yang santai, penuh energi menyenangkan.
Sebuah journey yang awalnya hanya mau nongkrong ngopi dan sampai akhirnya membeli jam, jadi pembuktian SF dengan tagline mereka: “Show me, don’t tell me”. Sebuah penekanan pada tindakan dan pengalaman lebih dari sekadar kata-kata,… ya lewat rak penuh koleksi jam yang dijaja keliling meja cafe itu.

The SEVENFRIDAY T2/08 "RILEY II" is a direct expression of the brand's "good vibrations" philosophy, presenting a watch designed to evoke joy. Its foundation is the distinct 45mm x 45.6mm stainless steel case, finished with a warm golden brown PVD coating. This earthy tone is contrasted by the bezel, which features grooved lines filled with a vibrant petrol blue Berlac lacquer. This combination of color and texture creates a unique visual identity that is both playful and grounded in industrial design principles.
The dial is the watch's narrative heart, featuring a complex four-layer construction that provides a remarkable sense of depth. A semi-transparent sun lens offers glimpses of the mechanics beneath, while the surface depicts a whimsical scene of the character Riley playing a guitar amidst flowers, musical notes, and mushrooms. Powering this artistic display is the TMI NH70A, a skeletonized automatic movement with a 41-hour power reserve, whose visible components become an integral part of the overall design.
Completing the watch is a durable petrol blue silicone strap that matches the bezel's lacquer accents. The T2/08 RILEY II also integrates modern technology with an NFC chip embedded in the caseback, allowing for secured authentication and registration through the SEVENFRIDAY app. This unique, character-driven timepiece is limited to just 777 units worldwide, making it a distinct and uncommon piece for those who appreciate expressive design.
