I am so very happy and proud to present to you my new (frickinnggg) album “Where the Water Goes.”
When I started writing songs almost 10 years ago now I had always dreamed of making a “great album.” Not just earnest songs, but a cohesive musical world within itself.. Today I’m honoring that dream 10 years in the making with the release of my 4th LP “Where the Water Goes”. This marks the first time in my creative life where I release something with 100% pride and conviction. It may not be much, but in my personal little world it is one of the biggest victories of my so far lived life. The feeling is monumental.
The majority of this project was recorded at Figure 8 Recording studios over the last 3 days of 2023, going into the morning hours of the new year. A lot of life has been lived since those sessions. I trekked the Himalayas. I almost died in a fire. If I may be honest, I’ve had maybe the most turbulent and emotionally exhausting year of my life. And making this album with people I loved really anchored me when my head went to that dark place.. Damn!
My friends @varunjhunjhunwalla (Producer) and @ethanmarshmusic (key contributor) were instrumental in the creation of this album. The amount of care and love that went into this project is hard to put into words. I simply can not say enough about them. We finished the album with sporadic sessions over the past 14 months while simultaneously busking extensively as a trio in Central Park.
So what can I really say? This album finally wraps up my prior 3 projects both artistically and thematically and I feel SO relieved to finally share it with the world. I love this album. I love these songs. Music gives a soul to the universe and these songs have a part of mine.
