An absolutely mind blowing experience to see the places these fonts end up, from their humble beginnings on my desk! If I could see this back in 2009 when I dreamed of one day having my own graphic design business—with zero design experience or qualifications, I never would have believed it. It’s also a reminder that nothing comes without hard work, passion and patience, 16 years of it in my case.

Did you know there’s way more to italic fonts than slanting characters? While oblique styles are simply just that, true italics actually carefully tweak each character to ensure maximum readability, flow and balance in a string of text. Some lowercase characters are also completely redesigned.
I’m currently adding true italics to my duo of sans and serif fonts, Neo Forma. And I’ve learned over the years that there are absolutely no shortcuts in font design 😅
