Shangri-Lager is an ode to the history of 117 Mississaga St E and downtown Orillia
Where Seto now stands was once home to Shangri-La Garden Restaurant, run by Seto's namesake and Ontario hospitality royalty, Jin Seto.
Sitting at 4.6% ABV, Shangri-Lager was brewed with a base of forbidden black rice, providing its dark hue, light body and earthy, peppery notes. Additions of Szechuan peppercorn, provide a hint of tingling spice, and black sesame seeds imbue a rich and nutty flavour

I finally got to visit @setodowntown in Orillia and it was worth the wait!
We shared:

๐ฅข Crispy mushrooms with nam prik pao, pickled red onions (must try)
๐ฅข Hokkaido scallops (must try) with tomato tom yum butter and kaffir lime leaves

๐ฅข Grilled gai lan with annatto-garlic oil, toyomansi, and fried garlic
๐ฅข Dirty rice with kewpie mayo, mushroom xo, furikake
๐ฅข Red curry tiger prawns with polenta, crispy shallots, cilantro

I canโt wait to go back and try the โMr Setoโ side of the restaurant which is a coffee shop, bottle shop and serves a different menu.
