The film from my recent photography meetup had been developed. I scanned the negatives and processed my favorites.
Laylah was a great model, and we had a surprise Mustang on hand thanks to one of the meetup attendees.

Liam’s senior session in Northampton, MA was a perfect mix of relaxed and confident. The kind of energy that makes my job easier. We wandered through downtown, chased good light, and leaned into the textures, murals, and character that make Northampton such a great backdrop.

From time to time, @cmarionphoto and I host photography meetups. Photographing each other can be as much fun as whatever the location or subject of the day is. Here's a photo of me by the one and only @djr3737 .
While documenting The Northampton Mandalorian, @NohoMando , on patrol in downtown Northampton, MA, it was impressive seeing the delight on the faces of people as they walked by one another on the street.
The number of selfies grew the longer we were out. With each person he handed his lightsaber off to them, and I saw people’s eyes light up as they held the glowing prop for their photo.
With a baby Grogu on one hip and a small speaker for musical accompaniment on the other, @NohoMando is a unique sight in a town of unique sights.
Call it an amusement, or entertainment, or a small act of genuine positivity, with whatever else is going on in the world, we can use a Mandalorian on the streets to protect us and make us smile.

I photographed @NohoMando on patrol mostly with a longer lens to give him space on the street, not wanting my presence to interfere with the genuine moments he was having with fans as he waved to and interacted with them.
These are all in-the-moment photos, with no posing or prompting, just capturing real moments and the genuine reactions he was having with people on the street.
He’s a striking presence in town. Taller than most, outfitted in his Mandalorian finest, and ready with an outstretched hand to greet, support, and encourage with whatever people want to say when they meet him. The smiles and happiness I saw from strangers is something to fill your heart.

@NohoMando , The Northampton Mandalorian, has been patrolling the streets of Northampton, MA for nearly two years. He’s been at it almost daily, as much as the weather and the realities of a secret identity allow. Spreading positivity with gentle greetings, fist bumps, and high fives.
With no shortage of the light side of The Force on his side, his walks through downtown Northampton elicit smiles, curiosity, and screams of recognition from those who both see him for the first time, as well as those who know him from his posts and want a selfie.

I went on patrol with @NohoMando to observe him protecting and entertaining the residents of and visitors to Downtown Northampton. I was in documentary mode the majority of the patrol, but I got him to lower his Beskar and pose for these portraits.

While the finished photographs become the public face of a project, they’re just the final layer of something larger. From moments that show Nicole adjusting each model, shaping the vision in real time, as well as showing the care that went into bringing everyone together for a unified portrait.
After I photographed each model individually, we ended the day with a group portrait of everyone involved with the project. Setting up this shot and seeing the results was a reminder that creative work doesn’t happen in isolation. It’s built through conversation, shared ideas, problem-solving, and many thoughtful hands.
What you see in the finished images reflects the collective effort of everyone involved, the designer, models, makeup, video, and collaboration throughout. I may press the shutter, but this was very much a team effort from start to finish.
