My Photo Senior Thesis show is opening in just over a week! My work will be in the Wilgus Gallery, and although I’ve been working on these prints for a year, it’s only up for three days so please come and take a look :)

We are pleased to announce that Seth Akgün Fields ’26 (@sethakgun ) is the 2026 recipient of the Jan Meyer '87 Photography Traveling Fellowship. His proposal was selected by a faculty panel from an array of outstanding proposals.
Seth's project "Bağ, Düğüm, Çekim (Tie, Knot, Pull)" reconstructs vivid, winding journeys of summers spent in Turkish cities his family left behind. Revisiting spaces with which his family’s multigenerational memories are knotted, this photographic project investigates his relationship with his history in Türkiye. By initiating an archive of memories that weren’t photographed, this project guards against forgetting.
The fellowship is made possible by an endowed gift from Janis Meyer, an alumna of #MICAphoto, and is awarded annually for a graduating BFA Photography major to travel to make a new body of photographic work. We honor Jan’s memory and thank the Meyer family for their support in empowering our students.
