so we’re very excited to be welcoming @okka.ldn for the may bank holiday weekend.
yagmur (turkey) and panos (cyprus) met working together at @manteca_london and have been building something really special ever since - centred around generous, meze-style dishes designed for sharing.
they’ll be with us friday → monday, taking over the kitchen with a menu that’s bold, vibrant and very much made for long tables.
expect things off the grill, beautiful small plates, and a few dishes you’ll be thinking about long after.
friday 22nd May: dinner

I’m proud to have been included in this piece in @thetimes discussing the pressures facing UK hospitality.
As an owner-operator of a small independent restaurant in a seasonal seaside town, I feel those pressures constantly.
Hospitality is the third largest employer in the UK, supporting around 3.5 million jobs and contributing ~£93bn to the economy, yet we have little meaningful representation at government level.
Seeing this article placed in the Business section matters. Because hospitality is a business. A business built on people. And people are expensive.
We are an industry built on resilience; we pivot, we adapt, we absorb pressure. But resilience shouldn’t be mistaken for invincibility.
Rising employment costs, tighter margins and continual regulatory change mean closures are becoming a weekly headline. At some point, something has to give.
Hospitality is not a soft industry. It is infrastructure for community, culture, employment and economic growth, all delivered on some of the tightest margins in the economy.
I hope pieces like this help more people understand the reality behind the joy we create.
Maybe one day, someone shaping policy will actually have worked a service.
Honestly, it should probably be a national requirement.
we’re back today after our “weekend” ready to see all of you.

Expect bold, sunny flavours from Central & South America; think choripán, chilaquiles, devilled prawns - paired with beautiful Portuguese wines.

Ana & Rodrigo will be pouring, chatting, and keeping glasses full all afternoon.

Girl Dinner started last October - an idea from one of our chefs, @lilyzhughes@lilsaucepot
Cook what the girlies want to eat.
It’s grown into something bigger than dinner.
Strangers becoming friends, and just the girlies being girlie.
Kinda the best.
Fire Horse, lead by our other chef @eeeeeeeelisa was no exception - sticky rice, glitter in our drinks, unreal chicken.
AND the exceptional @yvettesintuition reading cards ✨
Next one: 19th March - a new moon 🌚
