I met Laura through the Ride to Thrive Project, where we shared our cycling knowledge as instructors, teaching 5th and 6th graders in public schools. From the start, I was struck by her kindness, wisdom, and genuine passion for the sport. Laura's experience as an Ironman triathlete and her many years as a coach have shaped her into a role model not just for her athletic achievements, but for the thoughtful and disciplined approach she brings to her life and sport. At 67, Laura embodies what it means to live with purpose and energy. She’s been training seriously for the past 19 years, and her achievements speak for themselves: she’s represented Team Canada three times at the ITU Age Group World Championships in the Standard Distance. Her main goal is to continue enjoying and competing for as long as she can. Laura’s impact goes far beyond her personal achievements. She’s a shining example of how sport can enrich lives, connect communities, and inspire future generations. It’s been a privilege to meet her and witness her dedication to cycling and to the people she teaches and motivates.

Santiago Barahona Forero At just 15 years old, Santiago is already making his mark in cycling. Champion of the Microvuelta Internacional al Valle (Colombia), he thrives in road cycling but loves the thrill of MTB and explosive climbs. Now he trains with @attackracing.ca , standing out in races across Ontario. His ultimate dream? Winning the Tour de France. With quiet confidence, ambition, and determination, Santiago's journey is just beginning, and the best is yet to come.

Photographing some of the women of the @attackracing.ca in the forest was an unforgettable and key learning experience. Their willingness to help was evident from the start, from showing up with enthusiasm to patiently waiting as I set up my equipment. Their support and collaboration during the session helped bring my vision to life. Having seen them during a few of their training sessions, it’s clear they share a genuine passion for cycling. Both the coaches and the riders approach their workouts with dedication and joy, creating an environment where hard work is something to enjoy.
