Iâd like to share the beauty and pretty people of the #carnaval of #maastricht. Three days of outdoor parties, creativity, music, #zwieren and community.
Everyone joins in, finds their vibe and respects each other. Itâs hard to explain how it feels, and is worth to experience this explosion of colour and smiles yourself. Alaaf!
The CX worlds in Hulst were this typical and crazy mix of impressive athletes, beers, weird and wonderful fans. The course is not my favourite but to see the best #cyclocross riders in the world compete is something which shouldnât be missed. And yes there is a lot of shots of @ceylinalvarado as she is and was my absolute favourite for the womenâs title.
Already looking forward to the next worlds in Oostende 2027! I will bring my trusty #fujixpro1 again and try to remember my memory card for day 2 đ
Looking back at the past year is important to me. Discovering what touches you, what youâre proud of and what you would like to change is essential when wanting to grow.
The third edition of @le_pilgrimage was one of the highlights of 2025 personally. Almost everything fell into itsâ right place. The route, the vibe, the crew and the Pilgrims that chose to join our event.
I took quite some #pictures during the 4 days, and these are some of my personal favourites. Thanks to @rosmolen for making this one happen again and building this event together. Big shout out out to @anne_pekelharing , @yorit_kluitman and @nilsvanderheide for being a more than integral part of it all and of course to the whole team of @hotelsaintroch . Looking forward to joining all of you for the 2026 editions.
The final push, one more climb, the last dance. The riders of the 2025 edition of @le_pilgrimage were challenged all the way on that final fourth day.
Their last big climb took them up to Fort dâOlive, in pouring rain and strong winds. Most riders reached the abandoned fort shivering even though they had been ascending for close to two hours.
Cold bodies were warmed, with coffee, an impromptu indoor fire, blankets and crepes with Genepie. But most of the warmth came from the camaraderie that was tangible in the former kitchen of the fort. Some tears, stories and hugs were shared. That is the true pilgrimsâ way.
Thanks to all Pilgrims for joining our crazy adventure and I cannot wait to be part of the next one. đ
Stage 3 of @le_pilgrimage just kept serving up unforgettable images, so I decided to share some of the second half of that day when riders descended past the fully functional cheese making farm of Alpe Arguel on their way into the valley of Susa, Exille and Oulx.
The cows use the same trails as the riders to get to the isolated farm where the smell of fermenting raw milk, the roaring woodfire in the kitchen and the warm welcome from the owners created a unique atmosphere that will stay with me for a long time.
Once down in the valley after descending for almost 50 minutes the lure of the Spritz was too much for some riders, although there was still some climbing ahead on the way to Oulx where the last part of this years Pilgrimage would start.

On August 28th, a group of 47 cyclists gathered in Puy-Saint-Vincent, a small mountain village in the French Alps. Some had met before, many hadnât, but all came in search of the same thing: wild terrain, long days in the saddle, and evenings gathered around the Pilgrimsâ Table at Hotel Saint Roch. With warm beds, shared meals, and the comforts of basecamp, @le_pilgrimage offers more than just a route through the French Ăcrins and Italyâs Piemonte.
Now in its third edition, the event continues to grow into its own rhythm. What followed in 2025 was as brutal as it was beautiful. Co-organizer Cyril Chermin (@serialcee ) shares the story below.

Stage 3 - the Queen stage of @le_pilgrimage takes 2 days. Riders can decided themselves where and how they spend the night.
On the first day they tackled the Colle di Gondrand that will take them all the way to 2400 metres before descending back into Sestriere (short but very steep Hike-a-bike section included). After this the #stradadellassietta is on the menu. It seems easier than it is, with three climbs in that spectacular 22 km long section. Most riders made it across the Assietta in time to head down into the Piemonte valley and head for some well deserved rest and pizza in Oulx.
Part 2 of stage 2 contains both the Col des Rochilles and the infamous hike-a-bike section all the way to the @refugedesdrayeres . This is one of the most challenging parts of @le_pilgrimage so it is good to have someone like @nilsvanderheide cheer you on all the way to the summit.

Stage 2 of @le_pilgrimage proved to be the first real challenge. The long climb through the valley up to the start of the old âroadâ up to the Galibier most riders focused on getting enough #carbs in.

Finally am getting around to selecting and editing my personal favourites from @le_pilgrimage . Iâll share some more #shotslikethese in the next few weeks đ
