We are very proud to announce our collaboration with SHADES, an iconic Parisian barbershop and an absolute reference in contemporary grooming.
At every Paris Fashion Week, all SHADES barbers are mobilized backstage and on the runways, shaping the looks of the most cutting-edge men on the fashion scene. SHADES is a place where craftsmanship meets modernity, where style, culture, and attitude come together.
This collaboration was born from a meeting with Sergio, founder of SHADES, and our friend Balkyss, a barber at SHADES, serial entrepreneur, and longtime friend of the Lola James Harper family.
For 17 years, Sergio has been shaping hair and beards with a unique signature, rooted in elegance, precision, and intuition. Balkyss, trained within the SHADES spirit, carries this legacy forward with his own sensitivity and energy.
Together, we decided to create something timeless:
an old-school cologne, reinterpreted through a contemporary lens.

The Cologne
A fresh, chic, and elegant cologne, built around a dry, woody vetiver, lifted by a bright note of bergamot.
Created by Rami Mekdachi for Lola James Harper, in close collaboration with Sergio and Balkyss from SHADES.
It will be used daily at SHADES: • applied after beard shaving • sprayed on skin and clothing after haircuts • diffused throughout the barbershop • and shared backstage during fashion shows, offered to models as a final touch
The cologne is presented in a 50 ml bottle.

The Shampoo
The same vetiver & bergamot signature is expressed in a professional shampoo created for SHADES.
Used to wash the hair before cutting and styling, it anchors the fragrance at the very heart of the SHADES experience.
The shampoo comes in a 500 ml format, designed for daily rituals and artisanal gestures.

To accompany this collaboration, a 15-minute documentary, directed by Rami Mekdachi, composed of conversations between: • Rami and Sergio • Rami and Balkyss
The film tells the story of SHADES, the journeys of Sergio and Balkyss, and what this collaboration represents: transmission, passion, and a love for craft and detail.
