50kms of the columbia river gorge
beautiful and gnarly course that had runners passing by 5-7 waterfalls (i lost count or maybe i wasn’t counting) and climbing about 1700m. def hit ‘the wall’ but held on to it and then moved past it. mi totopo favorito @reverbcantina kept the spirits high throughout the race. thank u for flying in to hang out with my kids and run this race. i’m so happy we ran and crossed the finish line together. huge shoutout to @lyunatic and @breee_cheeese for always supporting our silly endeavours :)
our family is complete! @lyunatic and i had our second baby boy! FÉLIX SOL was born on feb 10th - 3.55kgs / 52cms.

last sunday i ran the pdx marathon. this was my first go at the distance and i finished strong crossing the line holding hands with lázaro – a moment and a feeling i’ll remember forever. i’m blessed to have a supportive family and friends who pushed me along the way. major shoutout to my wife @lyunatic for putting up with me when i would leave the house for 3 hours to do my long runs on sundays. and to my brother @reverbcantina for the coaching and always asking me “did u go for a run today?”.
life is hard, running is hard... u get what u put into it and there are no short cuts. find the pain, stick with it and then move past it.
i love láz so much, more each day if that’s even possible. being a father is an incredible feeling that can only be understood through experience — u learn a lot about urself, because when u want someone to act or be a certain way, u have to also act and behave that way… its a constant reminder of how i want to be and how i want to live my life. to be the best person that i can be, in order for láz to be the best person he can be. i’m growing just as much as he’s growing and we are learning together. i’m so grateful for him in my life 🍔🍦🚚🦭🎨🚴🍩🚜🏀🌈🦖
