I haven’t posted in a while so I thought I’d post what I’ve been doing which is auditioning. The specific clips, tho far from perfect, are what I call my “just be a person” takes. A game I’ve been playing with myself whenever I find myself getting to in my head when auditioning or performing where I do a take where I don’t think about my singing or acting at all and just do whatever I want and “be a person” instead of perform. Funny enough more often than not it’s the tape I end up sending. Very fun and very silly but I hope you guys enjoy.
So happy to introduce in the role of Annie: Serena Parrish (@serena__parrish )
Serena Parrish (she/they) is a New York based actress and graduate of the Institute of American Musical Theater (IAMT). Serena was most recently Cassie in Appropriate at the Old Globe Theater, in Hulus Life and Beth acting along side Amy Schumer and Micheal Cera, and the back of her head in the opening of A Complete Unknown with Timothée Chalamet.
On the side Serena has been writing sketch comedy and working to form her theater troupe, Sandbox, enjoying the love of resourceful creative theater and giving her community a place to play. Outside acting Serena is often found crafting or doodling in her sketchbook.

Officially making my opening night post for Appropriate at The Old Globe! Little late to posting this but this project has such an amazing team and it was so much fun getting to spend time and party with everyone involved!
