Recent work designing the logo for Slow Creator Fund which provides seed and growth capital for creator entrepreneurs, created by @slow . I experimented quite a bit until landing on a concept as artistic, eccentric, and–most importantly–as human as their investees. The final design uses an abstract human profile, primarily built from the initials of the initiative.
I really enjoyed the many paths I took on this piece and the fun and quirky final piece we landed on.

Snailmail is a newsletter created by @slow to garner more interest and excitement than the typical VC email. After much experimentation, I interpolated the geometry of their brand logo (developed by @redantler ) to create the basis of the snail’s shell.

Sequoya Waring Design is… me! This summer I rebranded and rebuilt my website from scratch. My brandmark contains my initials in a timeless blocky form, inspired by the Plumber Gothic 3M logo and NASA Worm.
Branding yourself is always difficult and I knew my first attempt (a slightly modified soft serif called Nighty) was a placeholder until I could craft something simple, recognizable, and appropriate to my style.
