So I had a quick trip to New York this weekend and I had a nice time. This was a mostly play trip for me which was different, but I got to see some really wonderful art.
@trysteptrip was absolutely awesome.
@dahlak_leon wrote, produced live music, starred in, and astounded with the rest of the cast. He made an absolutely impactful appropriate piece of art in these times. Everything was so well done and the stepping choreography, singing, and dialogue all flowed so seamlessly.
@freddyramseyjr was so dynamic in his role and it really showed his versatility. I was so impressed by his performance. The rest of the cast worked so well together to present the messages clearly and effectively. Thank you
@theeopenhouseproject for helping me see the show. Go see this!
The Monsters at
@mtc_nyc truly something special. Seeing the sibling dynamic and the powerhouse performances of just two people on stage playing off energy and silence…. Brilliant.
@aignermizzelle was so quirky, heartwrenching, powerful as she played the age range and let her vulnerability shine.
@oaksmash had me teary eyed watching his performance. Seeing his journey over a decade and a half had been so wonderful and he did not disappoint in this role. His boxing prowess, attention to gesture, characterization, and ultimate breakdown made for a titanic performance. Go see this play!
I also got to see
@spellingbeenyc and that was a tour de force. Everyone was stellar in their roles and brought something new and heartwarming to the classic show. I finally got to see
@jasmine_amy_r and she was so endearing in her role and sang!
@kevinmchale was perfectly cast and made me so proud. Don’t miss this show!
And I got to see
@donaldlawrence in passing and share some of what his work meant to me. Thank you for being king and all the songs that really helped shape my faith.
