최서희 개인전 《미온한 그레이》 2026년 3월 6일 - 4월 19일 (월, 화 공휴일 휴관) 프라이머리 프랙티스 (부암동 286) 《미온한 그레이》는 과거 특정 사건에 관한 누군가의 ‘진술’이 가진 언어적 정보와 온전히 담아낼 수 없는 감정, 감각과 같은 비언어적 요소들을 양 축으로 한다. 최서희에게 진술은 편집된 기억과 과거의 감각이 교차하는 발화로서, 언어와 비언어의 경계에서 끊임없이 흔들리는 성질의 것이다. 전시에서 작가는 흑과 백, 양극의 거리와 긴장을 진술에 비유하고, 두 개의 항 사이 미묘한 경계를 공간적으로 조직한다. 그렇게 언어와 비언어의 엮임 속에서 듣지 못한 것과 전달되지 않은 것은 점차 감지된다. 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙂𝙧𝙖𝙮 𝘽𝙚𝙩𝙬𝙚𝙚𝙣 is structured around two axes: the linguistic information embedded in someone’s “testimony” about a particular past event, and the nonverbal elements, like emotion or sensation, that can never be fully contained in language. For CHOI Seohee, testimony is an utterance in which edited memory and past sensibility intersect, a mode of speech that continually wavers at the threshold between the verbal and the nonverbal. In the exhibition, the artist likens black and white, the distance and tension between these two extremes, to testimony, and spatially articulates the subtle boundary between the two poles.
