A disc bulge does NOT automatically mean your spine is damaged or broken 🙏🏼
In fact, research shows many people with NO back pain still have disc bulges on MRI scans 👀
Around 50% of people over 40 may have a disc bulge without symptoms 😳
That’s important because scans don’t always tell the full story 📸
Pain is complex.
Healing is possible.
And the body is adaptable 🧠✨
Too often, people become fearful of movement after hearing words like:
❌ “disc bulge”
❌ “degeneration”
❌ “wear and tear”
But avoiding movement completely can sometimes make recovery harder ⚠️
The goal isn’t perfection.
It’s building:
✅ confidence
✅ movement
✅ resilience
Step by step 💪🏽

IS RUNNING REALLY BAD FOR YOUR BACK? 🏃🏽♂️🤔
A lot of people with back pain get told to avoid running completely… but the research around spinal health is more interesting than that 👇🏽
🧠 In the short term:
Running can temporarily increase load through the spine and discs.
💪 In the long term:
Regular movement and gradual loading may actually help the spine adapt and become more resilient.
Your body is designed to respond to movement, not avoid it forever.
That doesn’t mean everyone should suddenly go run 10km tomorrow, but avoiding movement completely isn’t usually the answer either 💪🏽
✅ Build gradually
✅ Respect flare-ups
✅ Improve strength & tolerance over time
✅ Stay consistent
Movement is often part of the solution, not the problem 👊

Low back pain can make people feel fragile… but the goal isn’t to stop moving forever 💭
It’s to gradually rebuild confidence, strength & resilience again 💪🏽
For many people, progress looks like:
✔️ Moving a little easier
✔️ Walking further
✔️ Exercising with less fear
✔️ Fewer flare ups
✔️ Getting back to life again
Pain doesn’t always mean damage ❌
And recovery is rarely about “perfect posture” or complete rest.
A stronger, more adaptable body is often a less sensitive one 🧠⚡️
Move better

Sit at a desk all day and your neck feels tight or achy? 👇
Here are 3 simple movements I regularly give patients to help:
✔️ Reduce muscle tension
✔️ Improve movement
✔️ Break up long periods of sitting
Most neck discomfort isn’t caused by something being “out of place” it’s often your body becoming more sensitive due to prolonged positions and reduced movement.
The goal isn’t perfect posture… it’s regular movement.
Try these daily and see how you feel 😊🙌🏽

Most people think chiropractic is just about the “crack” 👀💥
But that’s only the surface…
Underneath, it’s about how your nervous system responds to the world around you 🧠⚡️
When your body feels safer → it moves better
When it moves better → it hurts less
When it hurts less → your confidence comes back
That’s where the real change happens 🙌🏽
Not just pain relief…
👉🏽 Better movement
👉🏽 More control
👉🏽 Less fear
👉🏽 A body you can trust again
That’s what we’re actually working towards 🙌🏽

Your brain and body are constantly communicating through your nervous system 🧠⚡
Every movement, sensation and signal travels through the spine 📡
When this communication becomes irritated or overloaded, the body can become more sensitive to pain and movement ⚠️
Chiropractic care aims to restore healthy input to the nervous system, helping the brain and body communicate more efficiently again 🙌🏽
Are you connected? 🧠⚡
4 myths people still believe about chiropractic care, which I hear almost every week in clinic 😊
Many people think chiropractic is only about “cracking backs” or that you should only see a chiropractor when you’re already in pain 🤕
But your spine protects your nervous system - the system that controls how your body moves, adapts and heals 🧠
That’s why many people choose care not just for pain relief, but because they want to move better, sleep better and feel more resilient 💪🏽
Pain might be the thing that brings people in, but better function is what keeps people improving 🙌🏽
If you’ve ever wondered whether chiropractic could help you, this post might answer a few of those questions ✨
