We’re still buzzing from last night! ✨ On 25 March, we opened Becoming Through Pain, curated by the wonderful Huma Kabakci, at Somers Gallery – what a night! Bringing together eight women artists, the exhibition reflects on pain not as something passive, but as a force for transformation, resistance, and agency. Seeing these works come together was incredibly special. A highlight of the evening was the performance by Dyana Gravina @dygravina , who completely recharged the space. A full house, electric energy, and a sense that something meaningful took place. Huge thanks to everyone who made this exhibition possible: @somersgallery , our wonderful curator @humakabakci , our drinks sponsors @wearetheuncommon , and to our incredible artists Jennifer Nieuwland @jennieuwland , Aza Shaden @aziza_shaden , Dyana Gravina @dygravina , Gülce Tulcali @gulcetulcali , Lolita Pelegrime @lolita.pelegrime , Pauline Batista @paulinebatista , Sena Başöz @senabasoz , Shannon Bono @bonosart_ The show is now open — do come and see it 🩷 Photo: @ylebedeva

Tomorrow, March 25, our exhibition Becoming Through Pain will open with a live performance by Dyana Gravina @dygravina , created to mark the anniversary of her deeply personal book Embodied Histories🩷 This work is an intimate reconciliation with the act of birth and being rebirthed — a raw, quietly powerful exploration of the body as a site of memory, transformation, and survival. We would love for you to experience it with us. 💫 Opening night: 25.03.2026, 19:00-19:30 📍 Somers Gallery, 96 Chalton Street, London, NW1 1HJ

We’re proud to announce Becoming Through Pain, curated by wonderful Huma Kabakci @humakabakci , an exhibition opening in London this March🎉🥳 Organised by Sensity Studio @sensitystudio , Becoming Through Pain brings together women artists from different countries to reflect on pain — a phenomenon that is fundamental to human experience, yet deeply silenced in our society. Through physical, emotional, and political perspectives, the artists reclaim pain as a force capable of reshaping how we understand vulnerability and change. Artists: Jennifer Nieuwland @jennieuwland , Aza Shaden @aziza_shaden , Dyana Gravina @dygravina , Gülce Tulcali @gulcetulcali , Lolita Pelegrime @lolita.pelegrime , Pauline Batista @paulinebatista , Sena Başöz @senabasoz , Shannon Bono @bonosart_ 🩷 💫 Opening night: 25.03.2026 📍 Somers Gallery, 96 Chalton Street, London, NW1 1HJ More details coming soon! In the meantime, feel free to reach out if you’d like to be part of it.

Jingyi Li @1999jingyili , winner of Sensity’s annual open call, is truly one of the most inspiring young voices we’ve met🩷 Jingyi won a free 3-month communications support package from the Sensity team. During this time, she took part in our exhibition “On the other way” in Barcelona, bringing her thoughtful, tactile practice into dialogue with artists from around the world. She also continued to shine independently, joining an exhibition at Fitzrovia Gallery in London. Together with the Sensity team, we refined her artistic narrative – perfected her positioning, created a coherent personal brand strategy, conducted a comprehensive social media audit, and secured gallery intros and interviews with Authority and Autre Magazine. It has been a joy and an honor to watch Jingyi’s identity as an artist blossom. There are many more exciting projects ahead – her upcoming solo exhibition at Absent Gallery @absent_gallery_official , focused on merging a centuries-old European bobbin lace technique with Chinese craft traditions, is one of them. We believe that this is just the beginning for Jingyi – so stay tuned! ✨

10 Art Lessons From 2025🎄 As the year draws to a close, it’s worth reflecting on the key lessons the art world has taught us in 2025. 🔹 Women are at the centre of the art ecosystem This year saw not one, but two historic records set by women. Marlene Dumas became the most expensive living female artist, while Frida Kahlo’s The Frame set a new record for a woman’s artwork at $54.7M. 🔹 Galleries are becoming digital-first Even blue-chip galleries such as Blum Gallery or Clearing are closing. Nearly 60 galleries worldwide have shut this year — a rate not seen since 2008. Online platforms have now become essential. 🔹 Concept fatigue is real Audiences are growing weary of lengthy curatorial wall texts. Beauty and aesthetics are once again coming to the fore. 🔹 Craft is back After years of digital saturation, texture, materiality and sensory experience matter more than ever. Craft and mastery are once again prized. 🔹 Younger generations of collectors are setting the rules The demographics of the art world are shifting. Twenty-somethings are becoming a force the market can no longer ignore. 🔹 The art world is no longer West-centric In 2025, global attention shifted decisively eastwards. One of the most striking events of the year was the Bukhara Biennial in Uzbekistan — a large-scale exhibition featuring over 200 artists from across the globe. Looking ahead, Art Basel Qatar is set to hold its inaugural edition in February 2026, signalling the region’s growing cultural prominence. 🔹 Sky-high prices should not be expected Sales above $10 million — once commonplace — have sharply declined in 2025. 🔹 Small-scale works remain a strong market trend As the market becomes leaner, it has shifted back towards smaller formats, with drawings and applied arts gaining renewed attention. 🔹 Everything is political Politics now shape every layer of the art world — from aesthetics to auction logistics. The ivory tower is crumbling, and current political affairs must be taken into account by every art professional. 🔹 Authenticity is always in fashion For artists, taking a clear stance and remaining true to their position matters more than ever.

Sensity is excited to announce the start of our collaboration with artist Jingyi Li @1999jingyili — the winner of our recent Open Call🎉 As part of her award, we’ve kicked off a 3-month PR program to support and amplify her practice🩷 Born in 1999 in Beijing and now based in London, Jingyi is currently pursuing a PhD in Anthropology at Goldsmiths, University of London, with a focus on craft theory. Her academic journey includes a BA in Crafts Arts (Fibre) from Tsinghua University, Beijing, and an MFA in Jewellery and Metal from the Royal College of Art, London. Her work has been exhibited in galleries worldwide, including Galerie Marzee (Nijmegen), Norito Gallery (London), Absent Gallery (Guangzhou), and Hub/Art Gallery (Barcelona). Jingyi’s practice explores feminist spaces and centers the stories of Asian women. Working with unconventional soft materials, she evokes raw emotion, weaving together histories and lived experiences in powerful, tactile forms. We’re proud to support Jingyi’s vision and can’t wait to share more of her journey with you over the coming months. 💫
